Elopement in New York City // Arleen + Kevin
I love couples that are completely and utterly open to adventure and creating epic memories. Arleen & Kevin’s wedding day was filled with grand locations and intimate moments. The original plan was to travel to Glacier National Park in Montana to exchange vows. However, due to Covid-19 in the summer of 2020, their travel plans were put on hold. Arleen and Kevin did not let that stop them! Instead we stayed closer to their home and we traveled all over New York City to capture a truly unique wedding day.
The day began outside of Arleen and Kevin’s apartment in Jersey at sunrise. Kevin’s face lit up when he first saw Arleen. For their wedding day, Arleen and Kevin wanted to take advantage of the beautiful places right close to where they live. They then travelled to the George Washington bridge to take in the views. They danced in the city streets of Dumbo with the Brooklyn bridge towering above. They exchanged handwritten vows among the trees of the Women’s Federation Monument. For the final touches on the day, Arleen and Kevin were married in a small city park in New Jersey among their closest family and friends.
This day was an adventure. Sometimes the idea of going to some far off grand location can blind us to the things that lay just around our home, whether that’s in the heart of NYC or rural Alabama. Adventure and grandeur can be found if we’re willing to let go and look for it in the small moments of the day. For most of this day it was me (Evan) and the couple and we joined with the family and friends at the end of the day for the ceremony. I am here to help make adventure happen for you. Let’s go!
