Theory Y Design is now LIVEMORE, but why?

Back in 2010 I began Theory Y Design as a business after my graphic design work had begun to take off.  It was a great part time gig that allowed me to make some great logos, artwork and shirts for many various people and organizations.  I loved design and taking peoples ideas and turning them into a piece of art.

I have always liked taking photos.  A few days ago I was helping my mom clean out some junk from a storage shed and I found my first camera.  A Kodak 110 film "winner camera"  I got it in the summer of 1989 and took photos with it all the time (as long as I had some of those little film cartridges).  I never dreamed back then that capturing images would be what I get to do all over the world now.

Fast forward to the early 2000's....   I bought one of the first true pocket style digital video cameras and this was way before phones had any kind of decent camera.   I would film our adventures of rock climbing or kayaking, band concerts and trips to six flags.  I wanted to capture those experiences so many years later I could go back and relive those moments with friends and family.  These videos and pictures are things that I treasure now more than many other things.

So back to Theory Y Design,  I was rolling smoothly along in design work and one day decided I'd go buy me a canon 60D at best buy and try my hand at making films.  That summer I filmed a friends wedding and the rest is history.  I was hooked.  I loved capturing the excitement and emotion of the day and was so excited to provide them with priceless memories of one of the biggest days of their lives.

It's been a journey.  In December of 2015 my wife and I left our full time jobs and moved back home to Alabama and I began filmmaking as a full time career.  It was a door that we felt like God was opening for us and we could not do anything but walk through it.   God has blessed us in the last 1.5 years and we continue to trust and follow where He leads us.  It's been an amazing couple of years and I can't imagine doing anything else.

Now with over 100 weddings filmed, 4 continents visited and many other projects around the southeast I've now come to this point.  It's time for the name and brand to match who I am, what my passions are and what I do.  I love change.  I love going new places and trying new things.  Adventure is at the core of my being.  I love telling stories of love and adventure.  I love stories of lives changed by the gospel.  I love the emotion and excitement of a groom about to see his bride for the first time on their wedding day.  I love hiking to the top of a peak to see God's vast creation.  I love being in a hospital room filming a new life coming into the world.  This is why LIVEMORE.  LIVEMORE is about capturing the amazing things that life brings us and sharing those stories with the world.
